WOW! I've never actually posted a thread before! I know, I know - big deal. I probably seem something akin to the Clampetts striking oil - a little out of my element.
Anyhow, I'm Prospect Pat from Bremerton, Washington, originally from Austin, Texas. I did 4 years Navy, 88-92, Gunner's Mate Second Class, on U.S.S. Truxtun, including two 'WestPacs' in 90 and 91-92. I don't have a Texas accent, because, well, you just learn real quickly to NOT be from Texas when you go to boot camp.
I just became a Prospect for WBVMC 2 weeks ago, but I love it! I don't have a roadname, yet, but I bet this thread-post will probably change that! I'm a firm believer that the Hang Around and Prospect periods are crucial to the prinicple of "Quality over Quantity."I ride a '97 Fatboy.
I work for the Navy as a civilian. I'm a proud father of 3, one of each..... Whoa, bet that woke you up! Those who know me know that I have a quick-wit and am always looking to crack a joke. That skill has both saved my butt from getting kicked AND caused it. Kind of like having a hot girlfriend.
My 18 year-old step-daughter is trying to go to college through Army ROTC. Before 9/11, I would've given her s***, but ever since then I love any and all service members like my own kin - even "Coasties". [glow=red,2,300](Pardon me I just threw up in my mouth a little.) [/glow]Again, kidding!! Coasties count, too!
My boys are 14 and 12, and I think my 14 year-old will be a future Veteran someday.
Finally, my foundation at home is my wife. We've just passed 16 years married. I call her "COMNAVWIFEPAC."
There! Top that, Diesel and Wedgebolt!!!!!!
